A Rogue ServoSkull Tells Us What To Do

The group spends a long time debating what’s going to happen next. Luckily, a random Servo Skull finds us to give us orders from the Witchmaster General. All teams are required to report at the shuttle bay two days from now for a debriefing. They’re checking up on us to see what we’ve been up to and re-up us on equipment.

The Doorstumblers takes this to mean that they can do whatever they want. N, Lou, and Ferrus decide they’re going to do some breaking and entering. Klightus and Miraga decide they’re going to abstain due to moral reasons and laziness respectively. They talk about superhero movies and play cards. The thieves steal The Doorstumblers geld worth of stuff. They’ve successfully killed a couple hours and begin driving back to their parking garage that’s now their “home”.

Until…

Their Dune chanting channel is interrupted by the government saying that many government officials are being charged with various crimes related to the traffic jam riot. Novis Panem specifically speaks that this corruption in the government will be dealt with immediately and if they don’t turn themselves in within the next 24 hours, they will be using violent force. They all come to the conclusion that Novis is certainly our guy, or at least connected. They think the revolution will begin when the time is up. They have no clue what the hell they’re supposed to do about it, so they go to meet up with Hans to get some direction.

They find him in what was once a several room apartment, but what is now a goddamn war room. They explain the situation to him and he suggests to get as much equipment and weaponry as possible until we get called in for our debriefing and ask for more stuff then. Klightus has the bright idea to make some molotov cocktails, but no one can remember how to make them. Lou attempts to use magic to pass the intelligence check, but rolls a 9 and causes everyone to be frenzied. Luckily, we’re not in combat, so everyone just gets really mad out of nowhere. Ferrus is able to figure it out though and we get 4 molotovs.

Debriefing

After getting packed in like sardines into the shuttle back to the main ship. Ferrus does most of the talking as this is a Big Deal. In the Witchmaster General’s office, the room is giant with various paintings depicting some big moments throughout history with some very deep shadows. They summarize their exploits, omitting some parts, and he says that while they’re not very competent, we are skilled in many ways. He entrusts us with raiding a Bloodshot Gang holdout with a lot of their shit. 5 squads will be doing the actual raiding, but we’ll be kidnapping and interrogating their lieutenant to figure out their connection with the rebellion and FM.

They get some equipment and get ready to head down to do some damage.

Its Go Time

The main 5 groups are going to attack the group from the front. We’re going to be going in from the back to find the lieutenant. They give us vague directions on where exactly we could find him once we’re inside. We get to the back and wait for the gunfire to start, then we charge in, killing everyone in our way. That is, until Lou rolls 9. All electronics within 34 meters disables, including all ranged weapons. The lights go out and they continue fighting in the pitch black. That is, until Lou rolls another 9. Everyone feels a horrible sense for foreboding as a cool wind blows through. Nothing happens.

They make their way up and see a group of gang members very close together. Klightus says “fuck it” and throws a hallucinogenic grenade. Unfortunately, he fails like hell and drops it at his feet. Klightus, Ferrus, and Lou are affected by the grenade. Lou thinks her hands are tentacles, Ferrus thinks he’s invisible, and Klightus thinks a worm is climbing up his legs and attempts to chop it off with his axe. He does some decent damage, but Miraga takes the axe from him. Luckily, N kicks the grenade towards the group so they are also affected. They mostly roll around on the ground and Miraga is able to mow them down with ease.

They find the lieutenant, but he’s dead!!!!!! At least as far as they can tell. An affect of the hallucinogenic grenade is that he’s playing dead. But The Doorstumblers don’t know this. They decide to take his body back to the group, just to be safe. After a few rounds, he comes out of it and begins flailing around. N attempts to shock him to subdue him into being stunned, accidentally doing too much damage and giving him a full on seizure. He breaks a few bones in the struggle, but he’s still breathing. The Doorstumblers rush him out to the rest of the group. Unfortunately, right after they exit, the fire spreads to the ammunition, rockets, and gunpowder, absolutely fucking obliterating the entire building.

The fire spreads horribly. Over 6 billion people are affected by the fire directly, not including anyone affected by the chemicals or any supply chain issues. The firefighters were unable to contain it until it reached a promethium factory, where it immediately exploded into a nuclear explosion. Over 1 billion dead.
