Star Wars Session 7: Parking Garage Siege
The droid army begin to march upon Avalanche Company’s hideout. Several hordes of B1s and accompanying individual B2s inch their way closer and closer. Sarge sends Hal, Trip, and 09 down into the basement where they have some more heavy weapons stashed away with the injured. Rat quickly 3D prints 24 ion grenades, giving them to Tower, who distributes them among Cook and 28. As the droids get into range, they begin shooting suppressive fire attempting to demoralize the crew, but are unsuccessful. With firing lasers and explosive ion grenades, they’re able to dispatch the first wave with Cook and Tower banged up, but still standing. The second wave approach, with even more B2s, one with a flamethrower weapon. The party focuses fire on the flamethrower B2, able to dispatch it before it reaches them. The same is not true for the rest of the group, which make it to the parking garage. The B2s overclock themselves, blasting several shots point blank at Tower and Cook, then locking up and falling over. Sarge takes several shots to the chest, falling over incapacitated.
The remainder of the party attempt to hold it together until their reinforcements come, but some of the distant tanks focus their fire on the parking garage, taking out the supports. They retreat to the lower floor just in time to avoid the crumbling concrete over their heads. After running into the next floor, they’re greeted by three B2 droids that have blown up the walls to the basement. B1s are rushing from behind as they run into positions. They desperately lob ion grenades at the B2s across from them, while some of the others take shots from the B1s behind. A B1 shoots a grenade at the whole group, heavily damaging the crew and knocking Tower and Cook down. The droids are able to do more damage, but not before the clones have a round of shared recovery, getting Cook and Tower back up. Just in time for Cook to shoot a rocket launcher at the horde of B1s and the vehicle they came in. After giving themselves an exit, Rat realizes comms are back up now. Spotty, but workable. He desperately sends an SOS message, which is answered by Commander Kraide, who says he’ll inform the Jedi in charge of them. The clones begin retreating past behind the military tank, along with 22 of members of the company and 13 injured, including Captain Frost.
They rush out of the parking garage, finding themselves once again surrounded by droids and organic soldiers. Above them is a large ship with turrets and signal jammers hovering a few hundred feet in the air.
There’s no fighting out of this, one of the organic soldiers tells them to surrender. The clones put their hands up while Rat begins filibustering, negotiating a surrender contract, hoping to waste time until Tycho can show up and help. 28 translates for him, talking slowly and adding extra words to make the message even longer. Rat begins bluffing, saying that they’re in a far more advantageous position than it seems. This confuses the soldiers, but they’re still listening. Suddenly, the sound of fighters whizzing through the air resonates and a large strike slices the separatist ship in half. A barrage of lasers rain down, destroying the opposition, and the Warden hovers above, continuing its torrent on the separatist rebels. Tycho walks up to the remaining of Avalanche Company, wearing a more protected robes, helps the Company collect the injured and load them onto the ship.
They have gone from 144 to 42. The remaining clones sleep for a month while Rat attempts to use the victory to get upgrades for the ship. The clones are posted up in the medical facilities healing up. Luckily, they get to see Doc again! Unfortunately, they have several weeks of surgeries and physical therapy to look forward to, as The Warden sets its sights on Alakine.
